Or are we?

Yeah, it has been a long time since I posted anything. The funny thing is that I have been so busy, I am having the worst time keeping up on it. The family is doing great! Anna is growing a mile a minute and I can barely keep up with school, but I'm having fun and that is what makes the whole thing worth it.

Well, I will try to do something with this thing or I might just stop and create a new one.

Wow are we slackers... NOT!

Okay, so we've been ignoring this part of the process. I guess to actually call yourself a blogger you have to write something. Well I thought I would update our blog after a two month hiatus(sp?).

We've both been super busy lately. Michelle is still working as an Adjunct Professor as well as Church Organist and Pianist. She is also subbing part time now. I've been Working at school and working part time at the restaurant (more than usual) as we plan for a short two day trip into Amish Country on February 22nd.

I just got back from the Ohio eTech Conference in Columbus which was really AMAZING! This is my second year going and the people, connections, presenters, and keynote speakers are always really good. I've met some folks from Forest Hill Public Schools in Cincinnati who are working on getting tablet PC's for their district. These tools look very useful and I am interested in getting one for myself to try it out. They would really be good for my students. Extremely flexible and might help to make my class a "paperless classroom"! That would be a miracle...

The keynote speakers were fantastic! From Ray Ballard (world famous oceanographer - he found the Titanic) to Ray Kurzweil (extremely famous for optical scanning technology) to the CEO of PBS, Paul Kerger, with whom I spoke to about getting more multimedia resources for the Physical Sciences; they were all phenomenal.

Goodbye Emily...

So yesterday we took our dog Emily to a new home! Our friends the Rodgers have taken her and we are both happy and sad. She was a wonderful family dog and we enjoyed her very much. But, because we are going to be starting a family soon, we decided to find her a new place... The house is definitely quieter and Kasey is getting used to being the only dog once again. Actually, we think that she likes being the center of attention, as always!

The Rodgers seem to really like Emily and we are glad that she has found a new family that will love her as much as we did. A sad day, but a new beginning for every one. Have a great time with her Melissa, Jason, and Ben! We know that she will give you lots of love... Just like she did for us!

First, I thought I'd talk about the picture on the main page. That was taken at a concert in Salem. Michelle and I are posing after a concert with the Salem community chorus.

The picture above is one of my favorite pictures of Kasey... I like the old time look, but the face is what makes the picture. She has been a handful since we got her, but we love her. Michelle and I picked her up at the Humane Society and she's been our buddy ever since. Of course I can't forget Emily. She's our second lab and is as ornery as the first... She was just watching from her favorite post - the living room window. Any squirrels better watch out!
